Learning
to play the guitar takes time, discipline, practice and patience, not
necessarily in that order. It is an instrument of great complexity,
and even those who have played the guitar their whole lives usually
say they can still learn something new.
Playing
the guitar is a commitment. You can’t become an accomplished
guitarist without disciplined practice. But, there are degrees of
learning. First, ask yourself why you want to learn the guitar. Maybe
you just want to learn some chords so you can play music for your
child’s kindergarten class. Or maybe you have stars in your eyes and
think you could be the next big “Rock Star”!
Either way, Campo Music is here to help
guide you with the best lesson plan for what YOU want to do!
Guitar
students must be at least 9 years of age. We feel that before that
time a child usually doesn’t have the dexterity necessary to play
the guitar. There are exceptions, of course. But usually we will ask
the parents to consider piano or keyboard lessons for awhile to keep
the child interested in music. He/she can always transfer over to the
guitar at a later time.
